About me
I'm a writer with deep experience in exercise and health behaviour.
I founded Bang Personal Training in 2008 and Dad Strength in 2021. I've worked with Thrive Global, Precision Nutrition, and Dr. BJ Fogg (including the Behaviour Design Lab at Stanford University).
I've appeared in (or maybe on) Vice, GQ, AskMen, the BBC, The Agenda, and The Nature of Things.
On health
Much of my career has been devoted to sharing the beauty, purpose, and presence available through physical movement. As my experience and understanding have grown, I've worked outward, from an individual to a systems lens. Here, I seek to communicate how things like purpose, community, and mastery impact our health. My role – as I see it – is to provide clarity and to reduce barriers to taking action.
Daily life
I'm an avid cyclist and BJJ practitioner. I live in Toronto with my partner, Stephanie, and our son, who is full of beans.
